Kushino Fisherman’s Wharf Moo / 釧路フィッシャーマンズワーフ MOO

Kushiro Fisherman’s Wharf MOO with a unique architecture that you can drink, eats, shop and relax yourself. It’s just located at waterfront closed to Nusamai Bridge.

Kushiro City Tanchozuru Natural Park / 釧路市丹頂鶴自然公園

Tanchozuru means “red-crowned crane”, it denotes longevity, and is commonly used symbolically in Japanese baptism and wedding ceremonies. This is the only park that you can see the cranes through the all year round at one of the observation spot.

Kushiro City Museum / 釧路市立博物館

Kushiro City Museum is located on a hill overlooking Lake Harutori which stored things related artefacts of the natural history and culture of Kushiro City. The architecture of this museum just like Japanese crane spreading their wings, very unique and outstanding.

Nusamai Bridge / 幣舞橋

Build at 1889, one of the longest bridge at that era, and now one of the top three bridge and most beautiful bridge at Hokkaido, especially the atmosphere during sunset or with a heavy fog, very romantic with lamps and four bronze statues symbolizing the four seasons. Or you may enjoy the Foot spa with free service from 7:00 am- 22:00 except winter season.

Lake Harutori / 春採湖

Lake Harutori located at south of Kushiro city, and very rare that being the largest lake in Japan within a city, Japan government had designated as a National Natural Monument. It’s a good place for evening walking for the local people.

Kushiro City Marsh Observatory / 釧路市湿原展望台

The Kushiro City Marsh Observatory has a spectacular view of the luscious forests that surround the area, such as various marshland plants and other precious resources. The observatory exhibit the history of Kushiro Marsh and wooden carvings of it.
